IL Glass

IL Glass started his glass career in the scientific glass world in 1997, where he learned the basic skills which he still applies today. In the years following, Ian worked in many areas of glass, from managing a large scale hotshop glass factory, to borosilicate distribution and even teaching a few workshops along the way. Once Ian's skills had matured, he went independent and has been running his own flameworking shop since. Borrowing from the clean lines and precision of scientific glass, the fluent form of the blown vessel, and dreaming about cooking that next meal for his family, Ian puts all of these influences into his work.
